Included with every Your WP Guy maintenance plan

Your website, turned into a monthly list of ways to win more customers

On the 15th of every month we read your Google search results, your site's analytics and a fresh scan of your site, then send you a short email with the few things most worth doing. Plain words, real numbers and what to change for each. Do them yourself, hand them to us, or skip them. Your call.

  • 105+ active client sites
  • Free with your plan
  • No obligation, ever
What it is

Not another report full of charts

Most website reports tell you what happened. The Opportunity Report tells you what to do next.

Each month, your website opportunity report looks at how people find you in Google, what they do once they land, and how your site holds up. Then we pick the few things that would bring in the most customers. You get the evidence, one plain suggestion for each, and nothing else.

Every suggestion comes with what to change, so you or your team can do it yourselves. Would rather hand it off? Ask us. Not the right time? Skip it. Nothing happens unless you want it to.

If a month has nothing worth your time, you do not get an email. Silence beats filler.

The usual website report

  • Pages of charts about what already happened
  • Jargon you have to look up
  • No clear answer to "so what do I do?"

The Opportunity Report

  • The few things most worth doing this month
  • Plain words and real numbers
  • A clear suggestion for each, with the proof
  • Do it yourself, hand it to us, or skip it
"It reads like a note from your web guy, not a sales pitch. That is on purpose."
Why we built it

We built it to check our own work

I built the Opportunity Report as a second set of eyes on the sites we look after on retainer every month. Even with daily checks, a fresh look at the search data and the site itself kept turning up things worth doing that were easy to overlook.

It proved itself on those sites, so now it comes with every maintenance plan. Anything it finds that your plan covers, we quietly fix. The rest, we pass along to you.

What we look for

What does the website opportunity report look for?

Eight kinds of opportunities. These are the exact cards that show up in your email.

Almost page one

Searches where you sit right below the first page of Google. A few spots up is where the visits are.

Easy clicks

Searches where Google already shows you on page one but people are not clicking. Usually a title and description fix.

Refresh it

Pages that are slipping in Google or still name a past year. We only flag a page when the numbers show it sliding, never because it is old.

Visitors, no leads

Pages people visit that never turn into a call, a form or a sale, or Analytics that is not counting your contact form at all.

Read it and left

Blog posts and recipes that bring people in, then give them nowhere to go.For recipe sites: "Find these ingredients at your store."

Get found by AI

More people now ask ChatGPT or Google's AI to recommend a business. We check whether those tools can read your site well enough to recommend you.

Help Google find you

Whether Google can confirm who you are, where you are and what you do, so nearby customers see you instead of a competitor.

Worth fixing

Problems from our monthly site scan, like a slow site or broken links, with a plain explanation of what they cost you.

How it works

One email. A few good ideas. You pick.

No logins, no portal, no pressure. Here is the whole process.

  1. 1

On the 15th, it lands in your inbox

A short email: your numbers, then the few things most worth doing this month.

  2. 2

    Every item comes with proof

The search, where you stand, what your visitors did, the page it is about, and what to change.

  3. 3

    You decide what happens next

Do it yourself or with your team, ask us for a hand, or skip it. Every option is fine.

A suggestion is never sent as new again for three months. Ones you have not gotten to are listed briefly under "Still on the table." If you act on one, the next report says so under "Done since last time."

See a real one

Here is what one looks like

This is the actual email, exactly as it lands. Here is what to notice.

  1. Your numbers come firstA quick look at how the month went, in plain words.
  2. Only the few things worth doingNot a list of everything. The ones most likely to bring in more customers.
  3. Proof and what to changeEnough detail for you or your team to do it yourselves.

Questions

Good questions, straight answers

Is the Opportunity Report really free?

Yes. It is included with every Your WP Guy maintenance plan. Acting on it is up to you. You only pay if you ask us to handle something your plan does not cover, and you get a scope and a price first.

Do I have to hire you to fix what the report finds?

No. Every suggestion includes what to change, so you or your web person can do it. If you would rather we handle one, reply with its number and we will send a short scope and a price first. Skipping it is fine too.

Do I have to do anything to get it?

Nothing, if we can already read your Google Analytics and Search Console. If we cannot, we will send two-minute steps to share access. Without it, the report is based on your site scan and search results alone.

Why only one search tip a month?

Because the biggest one is the one worth your attention. If you want the whole list, reply "more" and we will send it. Want the full list every month? That is what the SEO Report is for, starting at $29/mo.

Will you fix things without asking?

Only the things your maintenance plan already covers, and those never show up in your report because we have already taken care of them. Everything in the report is your call, and we always send a scope and a price before starting.

What if nothing is worth doing this month?

Then you will not get an email that month. We would rather send nothing than send filler.

Can I stop getting it?

Yes. Reply and say so, and we will take you off the list.

Is my data shared with anyone?

No. We read your own Google data and scan your public site. Nothing is shared or sold.
