The recently disclosed vulnerability is a critical remote code execution flaw that exists because of improper validation of data passed to include() statements in the /includes/backup-heart.php file. By manipulating this data, an attacker can inject arbitrary PHP code and execute it remotely on vulnerable Backup Migration installs.

This allows malicious actors to achieve remote code execution without needing valid credentials. They can leverage the underlying web server user privileges to upload files, install malware, steal data, mine cryptocurrency, deface sites, and conduct other damaging activities.
